Building a DIY Eurorack Modular Synth Case, Part 3 – The Assembly

This is a continuation of my adventures in building a custom Eurorack modular synth case. Go back Part 1 – The Design, Part 2 – The Woodwork, or skip ahead to Part 4 – The Power Supply, and Part 5 – The Setup. If process stuff isn’t for you but experimental music synthesis is, cut right to what this dang thing sounds like.

Once all the parts were finished, it was a matter of putting it all together and mounting up some modules to confirm it was configured as expected! After some trimming here and there, and several attempts to fit it up perfectly, it all came together and resulted in a pretty nice fit.

A surprising added bonus is that the cases look, and work, equally as well in the upright orientation as well, as still share a visual compatibility with each other and the Sub 37. Happy accident!

It’s a little unstable when sitting in the upright configuration but once the PSU is mounted in there I think its going to be perfect.
